I have removed the MiViAm iPhone app from the iTunes store because it has become too expensive to maintain development. With the advent of iPhone OS 4
Apple is requiring developers to purchase the newest version of their operating system just to run their development software.
That's in addition to the annual $100 fee just to offer apps in their store. Also, to develop OS 4 compatible software I would need to buy a new device since only
iPhone 3GS and later models will support multitasking, a feature which you need to program for whether you use it or not. The device I purchased to do development
is under 2 years old and it's already being phased out. Throw in the fact that Apple keeps 30% of your sales and it adds up to be just way too expensive to offer
niche products like my Mellotron based ambient app.
I will shortly be developing a version for Android but in the meantime please enjoy the stripped down web based version found here. Thanks for your interest.
