ANDROID Reviewed by c johnson Android rules for the brief eighty minutes it's on. Max is an android who basically hangs out by himself, plays video games and watches old movies on the Doctor's (Klaus Kinski) deep space ship. The Doctor shows up after a while and is very interested in his android's sex/violence drive so when an escaped woman convict shows up, it's time to get Kinski. Made in the early 80's, this movie is way more fucked up then it initially appears and satisfies on a number of levels. Two really key scenes: Doctor trying to molest the female android he builds and peeping as the male android tries to score with the convict. Kinski is kind of wasted but seriously even on an off day this guy fuckin owns us. I took a lot of cold medicine before watching. |
